BSN Grants Flexibility To Micro Finance Borrowers In Kedah And Perlis To Defer Monthly Payments

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 23 (Bernama) -- Bank Simpanan Nasional Berhad (BSN) is offering a moratorium on Micro Finance monthly payments to customers in Kedah and Perlis who are affected by the recent floods.
Micro Finance borrowers in Kedah and Perlis will be allowed to apply to defer their monthly loan payments for the months of November and December 2010. Upon approval, the bank will waive the late payment charges involved, BSN said in a statement today.
“As a Community Bank this is BSN's initiative to assist our customers in Kedah and Perlis who are currently facing difficulties as a result of the recent floods. The flexibility would alleviate their financial predicament,” BSN General Manager/Chief Executive Officer Datuk Adinan Maning said in the statement.
The affected borrowers are advised to go to the nearest BSN branch for more details.
